Hi, I'm Khadijah Abrams, content strategy manager for the North America Omnichannel team at TD SYNNEX. Every day, I have the opportunity to turn complex ideas into meaningful stories that inform, inspire, and connect people across the technology industry. My career has taken me from television news to corporate communications and now content strategy, but the heart of my work has never changed: helping people understand, connect, and feel empowered through meaningful communication. Throughout my career, I've been passionate about helping leaders find their voice while ensuring every story keeps people at its center. Long-term, I hope to continue growing as a communications and marketing leader who develops strategy, mentors others, and uses data-driven insights and storytelling to inspire action and create positive change both inside and outside the workplace. Giving back has always been a core part of who I am. Whether through Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., mentoring young women, or volunteering in my community, I believe leadership is measured by how you serve others. My goal is to leave every person and every place better than I found it.
Favorite Quote and Why: "Nothing missing, nothing lacking." I don't know who originally said it, but it's a phrase my pastor used to say when I was growing up. It's always stuck with me because it reminds me that we're created with purpose and don't have to chase validation to have value. No matter where I am in life or my career, it reminds me that I'm already whole, and I hope to help others see that in themselves, too.
Definition of a Successful Leader: A successful leader is someone who helps others become successful. Leadership isn't about having all the answers or being the loudest voice in the room. It's about listening, empowering people, creating opportunities for others to grow, and leading with integrity. At the end of the day, the best leaders are difference-makers. They leave people, organizations, and communities better than they found them by creating an environment where others feel seen, valued, and empowered to succeed.
Advice to 18-Year-Old Self: Trust the process, even when you can't see the destination. Some of the opportunities that will shape your life won't be part of your original plan, and that's OK. Stay curious, keep learning, ask questions, and don't be afraid to take chances. Most importantly, remember that success isn't defined only by accomplishments. It's also measured by how you treat people, the relationships you build, and the impact you have along the way.
